It also takes you to your posts that have more replies.

I have subscriptions to all the forums I care to read, so for me it works fine. I don't think I've ever used New Posts or trending forums.

Me too, but I've never used MyFlyerTalk either. Would miss too much good reading on my preferred forums.

looks like we're stuck with it unless we log in.

scrap that, it still has the stupid scroll thing turned on, even though I've set it do default FT, the scrolling is jerky and unnecessary.

MyFT shows threads where you have posted that have new activity as well as a list of all your preferred forums that you've subscribed to.

Perhaps you never subscribed to a forum and that's why it's not there? I believe the option shows up when in your in the forum in one of the drop down boxes at the top.

I'm still getting the trending page even after logging in. Have to click on Forum -> Forum Home to get the "old" view.

I explained it in a previous post, but when you are not logged in, FT forums link automatically redirects you to trending. When you log in, you are redirected back to the page you just came from which is... TRENDING! Assuming you've opted out, you need to go to the home page index, not the trending topics index.
