Yes, I'd love to learn more. Do they charge YQ on BA miles redemptions?

Yes. When booking partner awards using AA miles, it would be helpful to get information from the more seasoned AB travelers. I recently booked award tickets on CX and the CX forum has been extremely helpful in preparing for my trip.

I think as a rule of thumb: each airline that is a full member (but not necessary an associate member or the like) of the big 3 alliances (i.e. Star, Oneworld and SkyTeam) should have their own forum. My reasoning is that being part of an Alliance nearly always increases the profile of the member airline in terms of more frequently flyer earning/burning on that airline and thus leading to more demand for information about the member airline.
(A bit off-topic, but I think it would be good to see a 'automatic rule' set up like the above to save having to approve forums for each individual airline each time they join an alliance. But this is a discussion probably best done elsewhere.)
I support the move to set up an Air Berlin forum for the above reason.
Just to declare my bias: in my next travels to Europe I am likely to fly with AB at some point since they will become a QF partner through their membership with OneWorld. So I would love to see a forum set up where I can find more information about this new airline.

Oh yes, please! AB has a good domestic and intra-europe product and has gained a strong market relevance over the last years.
