Does anyone know why last night's LX 243 arrived in DXB from MCT & then was cancelled

Does anyone know why last night's LX 243 arrived in DXB from MCT & then was cancelled
I'll be with my wife, who isn't a good flyer, on this flight in a couple of weeks from now. Normally, this flight is very reliable, so it's cancellation after completion of 3 out of the 4 sectors of the rotation has to be something non-trivial.
Update: Whatever it was, HB-JNB took off from DXB at about 12:35Z (as SWR7243) & was last seen heading towards Iran, presumably on its way back to ZRH.
