No, this rule applies only to personal cards. American Express business cards allow you to qualify for another new account bonus 12 months after you close the present card. Remember, everything you read on this forum, or any other, is a generalization. There are exceptions and terms do change. Read, understand and document the terms of the specific offer whenever you apply.

Apologies if this has already been asked but I tried searching the thread and could not find an answer to my question.
I'd like to cancel my card. If I do so, will they take away the remaining star points that I have in my account? I've had the card for several years and I have been a member much longer than that. I just rarely use the card anymore because of the foreign transaction fees, so I don't think it's worth it to pay the annual fee.
Thanks

My statement close on 03/10/15, but my starpoints has not posted, how long does it take to post? It usually takes 1-2 days in my experience.

Does anyone know how long it takes them to post the Free Weekend Night with spend >$40K? Reached over that in 2014, but haven't seen anything post. Is this new for 2015?

Isn't that link for the Canadian card? "To save time, make sure you can say yes to the following before applying for the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express: You are a Canadian resident and have a Canadian credit file."

Points expiration is a Starwood policy, nothing specific to credit cards. You may wish to look at this thread:

Getting a small business credit card
I have a personal AMEX SPG card with platinum status. I own a small business \(LLC with a FEIN number), would I be able to get a second credit card to use for business purchases? In that case, would they generate a new SPG number for the corporation, or do I use the same SPG number as I have for myself? If different number, can i transfer the points to my personal account later?
Thank you for any input, I looked through older posts and did not find an answer.
