My aunt thought it was ok as we won't be there that long but we also will be returning from Kyoto that day we check in around 7pm or 8pm. I don't know how busy the check in desk is or how they would treat this.

The Westin is also sold out for our dates so we can't even get another room using her points. What are the chances the staff will stop us or kick us out? I'm trying to think of options but I didn't budget for the hotel stay since we were using points so paying 400+ for 2 rooms for 2 nights would put a severe crimp on the budget.
My impression is that the staff at this hotel don't miss a thing. There are a lot of staff present in the lobby IMO so I don't see how only two could check in with the other two then going through the lobby to elevators and up to the room without being noticed.

I don't think Japan allows people to sleep overnight in the Ebisu subway station and I didn't notice any all night bars in the neighborhood (but I wasn't looking).

Does the lounge at this property allow guests under 18? I'll likely stay here with my 13 and 16 year old sons.

The Westin Executive Club Lounge allows guests under the age of 18 to enter only if they are accompanied by their adults.

I don't think it would be that hard at all to hide extra people at checkin. Just send them for ice cream in the mall and then meet up with them at the lower entrance.

IIRC from the lower entrance, you must take either the escalator or special elevators to the lobby level. Then you would walk across the lobby to the elevators leading up to the floors with rooms.

From the lower entrance on B1 floor. You can ride one of five elevators directly to your room floor. No need to walk through Lobby.

Just checked out from this hotel a couple of hours ago.

Capacity controlled executive club during cocktail hour? Makes paying extra for the executive club floor kind of pointless... Can't even use it when it matters most. Going on 30 minutes of waiting in my room to be called for an opening.

Maybe they should consider letting people take F&B out of the lounge, at least during such peak periods.

I've never experienced this, but could it be due to the holidays?

I have experienced this a couple of times. Somewhat annoying, but at least they are managing it (e.g. at the Sheraton Miyako Osaka lounge I sometimes found all seats taken and just had to leave - of course, that lounge is not really comparable in size and offerings to Westin Tokyo).

Perhaps due to holidays. Round two today... Receptionist said the list to get in today is "the longest ever". Doubt I'll even be able to utilize it .

Are they taking reservations in advance for lounge use?

Have you tried asking for an alternative amenity, such as drink and appetizer vouchers for their lobby bar (if it serves snacks)?
