Had a two night stay over the long weekend. At least two couples getting married there!
A few things:
- Welcome bonus was 1000 points or a beer.
- They upgraded me to the highest floor, 16th. Don't stay there if you don't want to be woken up by construction noises at 8am, since they're still renovating the floors above (including the lounge).
- Since the lounge is under renovation, they have happy hour cocktails. I don't remember the specific hours, but it's at the basement bar.
- Breakfast was crowded. I went at 8:45 and lined up for 30 minutes. The spread was alright, nothing too special. Notably, there was a fresh onigiri station and a lack of fruits.
- The room reminded me of the new Sheraton design pattern. The toilet did not open automatically. I loved that the window could be opened. Blackout curtains were amazing; slept like a baby. No turndown service.
- Location is great, but a bit far from the station (though fully covered going through the walkway).
christmas tree already, in early november!

I had a friend just check into the Westin last night. From the photos sent to me the hallways have not been "updated" to match the new rooms.

For families with kids, normally kids aren’t allowed in the lounge from 5pm and on but during Dec 25-Jan7, peak holidays seasons, they allow kids in the lounge from 5pm-6!!!
We are here now for 2 nights as plat on points. No upgrades at all but it‘s a really nice updated room. Very happy with the fact that kids are allowed into lounge (free for 2 adults and 2 kids…kids are under 10y). Great food and view.

Stayed 3 nights in early Dec. Applied SNA and got a suite.
It's a nice hotel, although lounge food for evening could be better.
No shuttle bus to KIX. Unfortunately.

Are you sure you meant to post in the Westin Tokyo thread? Based on your comments it seems like you stayed at the Westin Osaka.
