If you're here, you are obviously experiencing some issues with the web site. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We have an interest in giving you the best web experience possible, so here are some tips on how to get any problems resolved:

First of all, the web assistance team has this suggestion for you:

"We first suggest the normal steps of clearing their cache (temporary files) and cookies, then log out of their Starwood Preferred Guest account online, then close all browser windows before trying again. Please note that clearing cookies may also remove any stored passwords in the browser.

It is important for them to log out to ensure no bad/old data is saved and so that the online account has a chance to refresh.

Also note that cache and cookies are 2 different things. The cache memory is what remembers old content for faster page loading and may cause errors after updates. Cookies are mostly only meant for tracking during the current session. Both can still remember old errors that may have existed in the browser."

You should also be aware that being on a VPN sometimes interferes with your browsing experience. Try browsing without being on VPN and see if this fixes the issue.

If this does not resolve your issue, you can you can send an email to [email protected] along with any screenshots leading up to and including the error message.

It also helps if you include the following information in your email:

-What browser(s) have you tried? Is the issue happening over multiple browsers or just one?
-Are you using a desktop/laptop or a mobile device?
-If you are using mobile device does this issue persist when on a desktop/laptop?

Once we have this information, we can forward it on to the web assistance team for further review, so please be as complete as possible.

If you are having an issue with any of the SPG apps, you can send the following information directly to the SPG App team at [email protected]:

-What device and operating system are you using?
-What version of our app do you have installed?
-What is the problem you have encountered?

It sounds familiar, indeed.

If you already cleared cache and cookies, closed the browser window completely, re-opened it & tried again and you’re still getting the issue, feel free to email us the following info:

•SPG account number
•IP address (can be found using whatismyipaddress.com)
•Any kind of error message or reference number (screenshots)
•The time and time zone that the error occurred

We’ll pass it along to our technical web team for follow up.

Yes, that is what is happening. It has been happening all day on the website (not app). I sent the suggested info to SPGchampion.

Thanks

I have not been able to log onto the website via Safari for some time time now - it keeps reverting back to the sign-in page and won't let me log on. Any suggestions? Also, when I log on using Chrome, all is good except under the account summary my Seattle reservation shows as a reservation in Des Moines.

"Doctor, it hurts when I do this."
"Then don't do that."

All I can say is that Firefox works well for me.

Just logged in via Safari and had no problems.

Ok, so this problem has been around for YEARS now. Nothing major, but it's slightly irritating: on the homepage, under "BOOK & REDEEM" the link for "new hotels" has the same url as the one directly above, for "hotel directory & map"

When it takes you to the hotel directory & map there is a link to "See only new and upcoming hotels" that will take you to only these properties, but I will report this to the web assistance team.

Thanks for the quick response William - agree, but seems the link's main purpose would be to take you directly to the new properties list (would save me 2 seconds in my frequent/hopeless task of checking for new properties in my region).

I agree completely, which is why I sent the issue on to the web assistance team.

The latest change to the main page is very inconsistent and poorly thought out. You can no longer specify the number of rooms/guests, but you can specify one special rate to search. Using the "Book & Redeem" menu, you can specify the number of rooms/guests, but you cannot specify any special rates. Neither method lets you specify both.

Why can't spg.com support a simple profile? Once I log in, the site should know how many guests to search for and which default special rate(s) to use. It's not rocket science.

+1. These changes had me mistakenly making a BRG booking for 1 guest (in S. America, where this actually makes a difference).

Award nights used on or after Oct 1, 2011 count for lifetime status.

Lifetime nights show 0 under My Account in the app but shows the correct number under My Account at spg.com.

I seem to nowadays have problems applying SNAs to the reservation.

The link is there but it brings me always to an Sign In page, which starts to loop. This despite the fact that I was already signed in when I tried to apply the award.

In the past this worked well, but the problem has been there for about one year now.

I have tried different browsers Safari/Firefox/Chrome.

Does anyone know a workaround for the problem?

I get the same error virtually every time when I try to apply SNAs on the existing reservation. Otherwise, if I applied SNA by the time I made the reservation (as the last step), I wouldn't have the same issue.

I have not found any workaround for this. Just call SPG plat concierge, and the CSR can easily do it for you over the phone. If you are P100, don't bother to contact your ambassador. He/She will transfer your call to Platinum Concierge line since, apparently, ambassador cannot do this..
