[Preopening] Aloft Stuttgart, Germany - Opened July 22, 2015

the website has been updated and it shows as CAT 3

It is bookable from mid august so maybe the opening will be delayed.

I see weekend rates from 67€ prepaid
and weekday rates between 91€-110€ both for lowest category rooms

The room descriptions on the website look a bit weird,

e.g. URBAN KING
248-301 sq ft / 23-28 m²
Aloft r&r bed
42-inch flat screen LCD TV
Oversized shower
Free high speed internet access

Loft room, non-smoking KING
248-323 sq ft / 23-30 m²
Aloft r&r bed
42-inch flat screen LCD TV
Oversized shower
Free high speed internet access

Sweet Suite, non-smoking: King Bed Save 30 percent - Prepaid Rate from EUR 126
323-344 sq ft / 30-32 m²
Aloft r&r bed
42-inch flat screen LCD TV
Oversized shower
Free high speed internet access

the rooms are tiny *_* their SWEET suite is tiny as well...

there is another room category BREEZY room, i dont see any difference for all of the room types but maybe it is just not loaded properly

Cat.3 seems to be realistic. Expect low season rates to go down to the 60's during the summer and winter break. During fairs and high demand periods, I would not be surprised to see three digit rates starting with a 2.

Nearly 4 years after most of the 4P changed flag, we finally have two replacements, Schörghuber properties in his core market and one market close-by.

Let's hope that we see more properties soon, but without any doubt, the limited servive 4* category ship has sailed a long time ago and SPG is late to the party.

Aloft Stuttgart opens on July 22nd, 2015.

Bookable online starting on August 1st, but via telephone booking for earlier dates is possible.

As an Stuttgart resident and observer of the Stuttgart hotel market I find the prices during the week ok, but on weekends too expensive.

Time will tell about the rates.

Snagged a suite w/ breakfast included for about 130 EUR/night in December. I believe it to be quite reasonable - looking forward to the Christmas market this year.

Méridien is better located for Christmas market and as plat you should get a suite there as well

But aloft is connected to Milaneo shopping mall... I checked the location a couple of weeks ago.
The S-Bahn station is also in walking distance and two or three stops take you in the city center. Next stop is central train station ( under heavy construction )

Haha! I also know their suites only from the time when they've been an Interconti and I was a Royal Ambassador... :-)
