Upcoming reservations not visible if not booked through SPG.com

I just want to verify that what I am being told is in fact true. If so, it's a bit disappointing.

I made a reservation for the W Times Square NYC through Amex FHR. I would like to see this reservation along with my other SPG property reservations on SPG.com. So I called the customer service number thinking that they could just link it to my profile. Unfortunately, I'm being told that you can only view upcoming reservations on SPG.com if they were booked directly through SPG. No FHR reservations, etc., are available to be viewed.

This is a bit concerning because I will occasionally be in a situation where I am deciding between properties / dates, etc., and may have multiple overlapping options booked. It is really helpful in these cases to have one spot where I can see all upcoming reservations and can make sure that any extraneous bookings are cancelled within applicable cancellation windows.

Here's what I don't understand. United can show me every upcoming flight I have booked including those booked through Chase, Amex, their site, my work TA, etc. Avis works the same way. Why can't SPG.com do the same?

I would be willing to bet that this AMEX FHR reservation does not have your SPG account number attached. Once it is, it should show up at spg.com.

My apologies for the inconvenience, but you would have to contact AMEX FHR to get your SPG account number added to the booking. It appears on our side as a limited access booking that no one can make any changes to.

Great news. Apparently I got some bad info from the SPG customer service person who told me that only bookings through SPG.com were visible on the site.

Good to know that this is not the case.

Well, to be truthful, sometimes that is the case. Details can be found in the Tech FAQ at spg.com.

But, I've run across this particular issue before and have never had a problem with it showing up for AMEX FHR bookings after the SPG account number was added, although you might have to refresh the setting by re-sending your reservation confirmation email.

Upcoming reservations booked thru SPG site disappeared after rep touched them

Open a new thread as the Disappeared reservations are reward stays with SPG numbers in them, and have been visible until a SPG rep put in request for non-smoking room, then they all disappear.

When I called back the SPG rep said he could not pull up the details of the reservations though the reservations dont have any cancellation numbers associated with them.

My main concern is to make sure these reservations remain valid, AND I need to print the details for Visa application purpose.

I have opened a new thread on this issue which does not seem to relate to the existing thread. Would much appreciate if you could kindly reply to the new thread.
