Companion Pass
My wife got to join me as my companion "for free", seven times last year! How can that not be the best benefit of ANY frequent flyer award program?

No change/cancellation fees saves me between $1000 and $2000 per year. The Companion Pass saves me between $500 and $1000 per year.
Subjectively, I hate paying money for tickets that I don't use. It bothers me a lot more than the monetary amount should warrant. Lack of change fees is therefore much more important to me than the Companion Pass.

"No Change/Redemption/Cancellation Fees" doesn't fully describe extent of this the benefit since the way I use it most is to capture back subsequent fare decreases. And, it applies to points bookings too (even for non-elites!).

I agree that the no change fee policy is a great benefit.
My wife and I fly every week, but our schedule changes once in a while. We are able to re-book without any BS fees, and I am thankful for this.
However, the companion pass saves us lots of cash. And I am REALLY thankful for that. We pay our own travel bills....no expense account for retirees....so the CP is gold.
