It does operate until Jan 4.

Incidentally, I got an email with my reaccomadation details. Now flying a 17 hour itin SFO-STL-HOU-MEX with 6 hours in HOU and an 11.30pm arrival into MEX. No thanks Southwest.

That's via a connection in Houston and is not being cancelled. The nonstop SNA-Mexico City flights ends on January 4.

AUS-SNA was also cut. My April flight was re-booked with a stop in PHX. Bummer, now it's back to LAX.

By the way, WN still hasn't contacted me about the flight being dropped. Amazing.

Why would they? They don't give a crap.

Called Southwest and asked about my reservation. The agent was confused and surprised by the whole thing. There was a note on the reservation saying that reaccomodation would happen by 10/31, but it had not been touched. She checked with her help desk and was told that they are slowly going through these reservations manually and I'll hear from them once they get to mine. I can't really see any outcome where I will accept a SFO-XXX-HOU-MEX routing instead of canceling the reservation, but I haven't preemptively canceled it because I'm curious what will happen.

SEA-SNA was cut too. WN is now back to the single non stop destination in Southern CA from SEA, SAN. I was using the SNA instead of ONT to go to Palm Springs, just to cut out the extra stop.

No sure exactly. January 15th I think. And that caused AS prices to double. I have been paying about $59-$69, AS has doubled that or more now.

That's correct. Southwest had a bunch of temporary slots, but they lost out in the 2017 slot allocation. PVR was originally in the slaughter, but it looks like it's back now. SJD and MDW become seasonal as well.
