I just flew into SJD Saturday on a 'new American' flight that was first cancelled AA 1087 without warning then placed on a DFW flight that sat at gate for an hour...just enough time to miss DFW > SJD connection by 45 mins....the only 'positive' being that they held the plane for those of us 'late arrivals" So why am I ranting on this site ??
Because when I landed @SJD there was a beutiful sight....a newly painted Southwest 737 !
I have been waiting for a lower cost approach to get to SJD from ORD/MDW for some time and it has arrived.
So now how about some intro deals for this itinerary ?

Funny you mention SJD because I thought WN canceled all flights into SJD because of the hurricane damage. I hope SJD isn't a new announcement since they have been flying there for awhile now.

SWA has flown their AirTran metal into SJD for awhile
This was the first sighting of a Southwest metal aircraft...
On last Saturday, so they and others are now servicing SJD....
Which also means MDW>SJD flight availability, although I would prefer
Winter routing thru John Wayne instead of DEN...
AA only has one direct flight which often unreliable....
