How long does it take for AAdvantage miles to post?
Dear AA folks,
I did my first time AA flying this past Tuesday (May 5) but no AAdvantage miles have been posted to my account so far. Just curious about the time frame. Thanks!

AA does not have a modern system, they batch.
DL posts when the flight is closed.

AAdvantage is doing its monthly two-step batch statement creation this weekend, so your flights may not be viewable until Sunday or Monday.
Trust but verify.

All mine have posted within seven days. A flight on Sunday usually posts on Wednesday or Thursday; once, I've seen a flight on Friday post the following Thursday.

I rarely take midweek flights, but all my weekend flights post by Tuesday, so I would say 2-4 days in my humble experience.

Mine usually post 48 hours (plus or minus 12 hours) following the last leg. However, a BOS-LAX-SAN MR I did on Wednesday still hasn't posted and I'm getting nervous because I really want those X4 miles.

Yeah I flew on Wednesday too.... I was thinking about this and worrying too, but it literally posted at 12 am PDT on the dot! So check your account maybe yours did too...
However, My Alaska airlines Fare Q that I took almost 2 weeks ago hasn't posted ... (both flights) .. so we'll see!

it seems to me that in this day and age, miles
should be credited as soon as the flight is
completed... that's how most airlines I usually
fly with do it..... apparently not AA.....
do they have future plans to upgrade their system?
strangely, I took an online Bose/AA survey earlier
this week. the 150 free miles got posted that same
evening....

So why should they spend to provide this capability unless the process is affected by other factors? Not saying it will never happen, but certainly not on its own.

Over the past year (with 150+ segments) I've seen a very, very consistent posting time frame of 4 days after flying.
Flights Monday post on Friday; flights Thursday post on Monday, etc.

So when exactly do miles post?
Instead of obsessively checking aa.com during the day, is there a specific time of day that miles post to your account? I suspect it's midnight Dallas time, but not certain about that.
'had a trip on AS last week. Miles have not posted and I need them for EXP, so I'm unreasonably anxious about ensuring they get posted. And of course AA won't let you request credit until 15 days after the last flight.
