Please allow up to 6 weeks for bonus miles to be credited. Registration is required prior to purchasing your ticket and traveling. Bonus miles count toward Preferred status. Exclusive offer only valid for members on a pre-selected list. Blackout dates apply for the Baltimore/Phoenix fare, and a 1-day stay and 7-day advanced purchase are required. Yes, I got the same email. I fly from Europe and they only included London in the list of destinations; also I already booked a flight in this period - hopefully better luck next time!

Brilliant site, MileMaven.com. I just found the double miles + discount when using MasterCard offer for US Airways. Now see whether the DM calling center will honour this offer.

Well, another Preferred Miles promotion...as if (Almost) Everything Counts is not enough. Maybe Tempe finally realizes that the DM program is a good thing and that action is needed to shore up the thinning ranks of FFs...

No more unnecessary flying for me this year - I've already re-qualified, no more rollover miles, and a free Club membership is not enough to get me to 150k. Since this promo expires Jan 31, 2007, it just might be helpful to squeeze in a January trip and get a head start for next year's Preferred Miles.

it would be a lot easier if they simply said, "Roundtrip between these selected cities qualify for Double Preferred". Instead, origin and destination are specifically listed, and the T&Cs state, "...must be specifically from the origin and destination included in the selected list..."

So, in my case, AVL-PHL specifically qualifies for Double Preferred, but no mention is made of the return trip PHL-AVL. And what if I fly AVL-CLT-BWI-PHL and back...the T&Cs seem to say OK for the outbound (since origin/destination are on the selected list) but since it's silent on the return, I'm not about to go on such a trip and find out the hard way that the return doesn't count for Double Preferred. Same too for LGW-PHL (specifically listed) but not PHL-LGW.

And, by the way, they need to proof-read better...

I saw that, too, and laughed. They need a geography lesson. GSP means Greenville-Spartanburg and GSO = Greenboro, Piedmont-Triad!

BTW, none of my primary departure cities (TRI, ROA) are included in the promo, but I am not a select member, I guess. Would that be because I fly too little or too much?

Dumb question - DFW-PHL is on there but PHL-DFW is not. Does PHL-DFW not qualify?

Same question with PHL - PIT. I travel PIT - PHL almost every week. Should I go off cycle with a one way trip then book PHL to PIT?

PHL - London

On the front page of the promo it says Philadelphia to London qualifies, but when you look at the entire list of cities, it is not listed, but London to Philly is.

I assume that means that either direction counts and they were to lazy to list each direction.

I called to ask if I was targeted, and the CSR put me on hold to check. She came back and said yes, since I was a Preferred member (lowly Silver that I am). She wouldn't sign me up manually, but told me to signup online. I printed the online confirmation, for the record.

The T&C says you have to register before you purchase tickets and travel. I already have a bunch of itineraries ticketed but not traveled yet, any chance I'll still get the miles (based on previous promotion experience)?

Ditto for me as to the same question, they show in LAS/PHX-YYC but not the other way around? Wonder if puchalskir is correct in that they were too lazy to list them both ways.
