330-300 or 777-300 on business class?

Hello. I'm trying to decide if I should revise our return flight from Paris into the Philippines. We're currently flying into Clark airport in an A330-300 but may change it to Manila in a B777-300 both on business. Any difference between the two planes? There's a substantial price difference (Manila more expensive) so it should be substantial for us to decide. thanks.

Also consider the airport congestion. If flying into Clark, you can be already on your way home in as little as 20min after getting out of the plane.

Assuming you get an unrenovated A333 on CRK, there is a substantial difference in the seat comfort because the unrenovated A333 seat is angled lie-flat whereas the 77W is fully flat. If you find it difficult to sleep on angled lie-flat seats, and you wish to sleep on that flight, that will be something to bear in mind.

But if choice between connecting in a not-so-nice airport to a domestic flight or non-stop directly to CRK, I would probably choose the non-stop to CRK, especially if it is cheaper as well.

All the A333 are unrenovated, but still very comfortable.

I guess I mis-read the big A330 renovation thread...

Lie-flats can be reasonably comfortable on a day flight or where you just need some shut-eye, but for me personally, they have never been close to a fully flat for sleep comfort on flights where I want to sleep as much as possible.

If you have a choice between a fully-flat bed and a lie-flat and you intend to sleep, pick the fully-flat.
For a daytime flight, the lie-flat seats are more than adequate.

If you're booked already then this will require tons of fees including fare recalculation. Their B777 in MNL is way way way better than A330 in CRK. I didn't mind that A330 doesn't have full flat seats as the flight is daytime (and I drink and eat rather than sleep).

Return to CRK is morning so if you're travelling to Manila, you will face a rush hour tail end.

Speaking just of the aircrafts, I'd pick QR 77W over a 330 any day.

Does QR provide duvets or just blankets on MNL-DOH flights?
