Will QR interline with EY
Found a great price to the UK next summer on combination of QR (1 PNR) then EY (a separate PNR), does anyone know if QR will interline bags to EY (and vv for the way home)?

This is even more so when the airlines are rivals!
Allow plenty of time between both tickets in both directions - you will, in all likelihood, end up having to collect your bags, and check them in again, at the transfer point in both directions.
It's always wise to allow plenty of time between separate tickets, anyway - if a delay on one ticket causes you to miss the flight on the second ticket, then your second ticket (most likely, unless you are in a highly flexible class, or a premium cabin) becomes worthless.
Booking a "tight" connection is not advisable. Rather than making a check-in agent more likely to "help" you by checking the bag through, they may become nervous at the tightness of the schedule, and refuse point blank. Having a longer layover - one where you have plenty of time to retrieve and re-check yourself - somewhat counter-intuitively may actually increase your chances of having a bag checked across separate tickets.
Ask - but be prepared to have your request refused. Note that QR in particular seem to be very particular about baggage - refusing to short-check bags for overnight stays in DOH, even for people on revenue F tickets as reported http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...g-luggage.html

Maxee a very warm welcome to FlyerTalk and especially the QR forum.
If your flights are on one Reservation then your bags will be checked through to your final destination. A reservation (6 character alphanumeric code - Usually referred to as PNR) may consist of one or more ticket. In your case just one ticket. So there should be no problems.
There is a discussion going on at the moment about interlining on separate PNRs. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...-partners.html You may find it contains useful information even though it is not identical to your question.
