Booked CMB-JFK one-way just a few days ago in business "R". For December 2016. It came out to $990 each. I figured the RT would be only a little bit more, but was unsure when/if I would need the JFK-AUH segment again in the next year.

Anyway, definitely recommend these now that R fares are confirmed with normal AA earning.

Also, don't try ITA search. The R fares never showed up for me there, so they price several hundred dollars higher.

Any reason why this fare doesn't allow booking into 'R' on QR.com when looking at a RT but shows up easily on a one-way fare?

Instead of booking a oneway you should book a roundtrip with outbound in business and inbound in economy. It's about the same price as the business oneway.

CMB-BOS is now $896 RT Business!

According to QR, CMB-BOS round trip Business is now $896. Wow.

Looks like it is for 2 and very limited travel dates, indeed I don't see anything even close to that on QR.com.

• The above displayed fares are available for sale on qatarairways.com/lk only.
• The fares include taxes, fees and surcharges, which are subject to change due to currency fluctuations..
• Offer is valid for minimum of 2 passengers booked and travelling together at all times.
• Sales Validity: From 01 May 2016 To 07 May 2016.
• Travel Validity: From 01 June 016 To 07 June 2016.
• Blackout dates apply, please review at the time of booking.
• Flights to Atlanta commence from 01 June 2016.
• Seats are limited and hence subject to availability and not guaranteed until the purchase is completed.
• Refund / Reissue charges apply as per fare rules.
• Other conditions apply, please review at the time of booking.
• Please note that on selected dates and destinations, lower market-specific promotion fares may be available. All available options, together with the applicable terms & conditions for each fares will be displayed at the time of booking for you to make your selection.

ITA was not updated with the new QR biz R class and considers R as eco instead of biz so you have to search for eco tickets on ITA using the advanced option to specify R biz class and some others in case the flight is a mixed of R and I :

Gone?

Since the travel dates are only June 1 to June 7, it appears that this is gone as the site shows it for 391k now.
