Fare seems like it no longer exists on gotogate.co.uk - checked a fair few dates - unable to find something.

The base fare still exists £660 on EF.

EDIT: appears as if it is just Qatar married segment logic - there's no through fare to CPT from OSL at pretty much any date in October (though independent legs have wide availability in I).

No, it is still there. Try June 1st, June 13th.

First find the €1228* QR fare on google flights and then kayak or directly on gotogate / supersaver.

* Sometimes this fare does not immediately show in the google overview. You need to select an outbound date in the month you want to travel for say €1446 and then when you select an inbound date, it changes to €1228. A bit of work, but worth it.

Looks like these are slowly disappearing. I was searching on my way to a meeting and was getting £750'ish for CPH/OSL-CPT in June. Now getting £1800+!

I have a 6:30 layover on a different sector but looking at the QR site it seems it has to be a minimum of 8 for them to offer a hotel.

Indeed. Oddly GotoGate is pricing higher than the QR site now..... have the same flights up on QR and GTG and QR is the lowest of the two.

Not quite how it works. If there is no shorter layover bookable at all (so not just for the same price) than 8hrs, you will get a hotel. But not if you have a 8+ layover because you didn't book another option.
