DYKWIA - Amanda Bynes

No valid ID, so she asked if they could just google her for her private jet flight. No go!

a/ get a state ID for $ 5-10 - available for anybody
b/ pax without ID still can fly - just have to go through a time-consuming process (extra 30-45 min max)

That's for TSA "security".

Private companies may do as they wish, including not checking IDs at all (which should be the norm for all air travel).

Yup. There's no TSA requirement here, but I could certainly see a charter jet company having a policy of "we want proof that you're the person who booked the plane, before we take you across the country."

What, no Costco card?

Seriously, though, I wonder how strict this company would be on things like credit cards and expired/suspended license as ID. Even TSA accepts (or should accept) an expired ID up to 12 months. And I heard the doc checker at LGA the other day tell a guy his mother could show him anything with her name and picture, since she couldn't find her ID. Or I guess maybe she left her suspended DL at home (or wherever it is these famous people leave their stuff - with her publicist?)

Is this pilot yet another robot clown from one of those charter jet companies that accepted the "passport" from The Republic of Banana as ID? It wouldn't surprise me. Stupid "requirement".

Apparently it was reported a few hours ago that she has been arrested and charged by the NYPD for some drug-related charges, two of the three related to trying to discard evidence after opening her apartment door for the police called in by her building's staff.

If only she had flown.

From the reports, it sounds like she would have been OK, if she hadn't decided to chuck her bong out a 30th+ story window.
