Eva Air BR32 seat map confusion
I have no idea what is going on with the seat map here.
I am flying on BR32 on June 4th TPE -> JFK.
1. the booking management page does not say what the equipment is
2. when I click to change my seat, the seat map selection tool shows a picture of a 2-2-2 seating layout on the left, with the business class section selected. On the right is a 1-2-1 layout to select the seat. So on the left it would appear to be an old 777 with "premium laurel" seating, on the right it appears to be a new 777 with "royal laurel" seating.
3. on this page it says the equipment is a 777-300ER
4. if you go in to book a new ticket, it lists the equipment as a 77W, but if you click this link it comes up as a 77N in the resulting image, again old equip / new equip confusion.
5. seatguru shows old angle lie flat seats for BR32
Has anyone flown BR32 recently and can verify what the seating is for J?
3. if I go in to try to check this by booking a new ticket, the equipment

There will be 2 seating configurations of the 77W. All current equipment has 77N configuration with 38 Royal Laurel seats. New equipment being delivered starting next month will be 77A configuration with 39 Royal Laurel seats and Wifi onboard.
EVA Timetable is currently showing the new 77A configuration will only be available on JFK route starting Jun 8 instead of Jun 4. If the (Fleet Facts) on a particular flight on the Timetable is showing 77A, then EVA is pretty confident they have the new aircraft for that flight. The new 77A aircraft for TPE-LAX-TPE has been delayed till end of May.
The 77W will be in two versions. They are named 77N and 77A.
77N: 38J/63EY/211Y
77A: 39J/56EY/238Y
77A will be in operation on LAX starting from May 5, 2014.
- On flight BR 0002 1/4/6 between 05MAY14 - 03JUN14
- On flight BR 0001 2/5/7 between 06MAY14 - 04JUN14
- On flight BR 0011/12 2/3/4/5/6 between 03JUN14 - 28MAR15
77A will be in operation on JFK starting from June 4, 2014.
- On flight BR 0032 1/7 between 04JUN14 - 02JUL14
- On flight BR 0031 1/2 between 05JUN14 - 03JUL14
- On flight BR 0032 1/2/4/6/7 between 03JUL14 - 28MAR15
- On flight BR 0031 1/2/3/5/7 between 04JUL14 - 28MAR15

Call EVA directly to have them do the seating for you. Eva plays with overbooking so it's best you call in advanced for your seats.
All are using the new 77W 1-2-1 Royal Loyal seats.....

I'm flying BR31 JFK-TPE in June and my seat map shows 39 seats. So that means I'll be flying on a newly delivered 77W with wifi onboard? Also any info whether the wifi will be free or if you have to pay for it.

My booking originally showed 777-300 ER Royal Laurel (BR002). It now shows 777-300 ER Premium Laurel (BR002). Seat configurations are the same 1 - 2 - 1. I did a mock booking on BR002 + BR 12 and it came up as premium laurel (777-3000 ER) even though it is Royal Laurel.

No info on Wifi pricing yet, maybe it would be free for RL class.

I don't think WIFI will be free. K Chang said it will be pretty reasonable but the final price depends on negotiations with the servie provider.
