well, this pic was taken on an AB6 in 2007, and they had had the legrests removed for their "shorthaul business" role. But otherwise I fully agree, suitable Y+ option (with a contemporary IFE screen, of course).

Sadly those seats are of 1992-1998 vintage (like the F seats) and very very heavy with no space to fit the IFE. Otherwise LH still should have 3000 of them left in storage

Didn't they sell some to UL? I seem to have seen them on a BKK/PVG flight (UL fifth freedom rights flies CMB/BKK/PVG and the BKK/PVG leg has a very good early morning departure time).

Bischof claiming that Y+ will get additional benefits on the ground. Does that mean lounge access for Y+ passengers will be part of the new Y+ package?

Maybe they solve it like AF and you only have access to the hub lounges. That will not make the business lounges emptier.

Could very well mean fast track, priority check-in and boarding.
Wouldn't count on lounge access, maybe for a "nominal fee" of 40 EUR or something, like the offer for FTL companions.
