Even though EK advertised this fare to be valid from December 1 2016 to August 31, 2017 (Inbound blackout dates from Milan (MXP): January 1, 2017 through January 8, 2017), I do not see any availability before January 15, 2017.
But the good news is that DL and AZ have matched the fare (it is actually slightly lower.) There is availability in December 2016.

Thank you for posting this. This was by far the best price for summer time (late June to August) travel to Europe. I booked for approx 35K UR points thru Chase Sapphire Reserve on Emirates A380. There were other slightly cheaper options but I picked EK over Alitalia/Delta, United, AA. It looks like the fare is back up to over $1,200 now.
BTW, EK wants 45k miles plus over $600 for the same tickets if redeeming skywards. No thanks.

NYC to Paris can be had for $467rt with no companion requirement for next summer on oneworld. Lots of amazing deals out there for next summer when searching today. NYC to Milan seems to always be on sale with $600 or less fares but some of the more interesting European destinations can be had at rock bottom rates right now.
