Yes. Three-digit prefix indicates plating carrier, using IATA accounting codes. 932- for VS.
The IATA Airline Coding Directory (ACD) table is referenced here:
http://www.iata.org/publications/Doc...nd-edition.pdf
But... if you don't have 1400 USD to purchase IATA's directory from them, then you can search this site here
http://www.airlinecodes.co.uk/airlcodesearch.asp
Since your e-ticket has been issued and your itinerary goes directly to the US, not in transit, then you are protected by the DoT provision against reneging gnomes or beardies.
I seriously doubt that VS will attempt BA- or LX-style shenanigans but if they do, then you're in the driving seat. You could call them and talk firmly with the management. Inform them of formal DoT complaint that will follow reneging. Then direct them to the PDFs of the DoT communications to other airline counsels on this same topic from the RGN event in 2012...it will be better if you quote the key verbiage to them regarding the DoT's definitions of non-compliance and the associated penalties ^
Be grateful that at least US regulatory authorities take fare integrity seriously.
