Shocking news

http://www.wsj.com/articles/equinox-hires-four-seasons-hotel-executive-as-ceo-of-new-hotel-brand-1471036190

Oh no... Christopher Norton leaves FS.... for Equinox! Not sure if this gives the Equinox hotel project more credibility..

Wonder who will take over from Clerc now as President Americas, as he was just about to take that position. They need someone good in that region urgently.

if he is joining Equinox, things may not be great at FS, but he did join Equinox..

no credibility for Equinox. purely hard product / marketing not soft product.
(these days, far too many things are only marketing/branding. oh well.)

Since Equinox (or the holding behind it) ventured from real estate into gym/lifestyle and now hospitality, this might be beneficial for them.

I wonder about FS now... Norton was behind many great things lately.

Kuala Lumpur

I haven't seen any mention in this thread of KL, but just about 100 meters from the IC in KL, I saw a construction project for the FS KL, hotel, residences, shops. etc. And the crews were busy working on a Sunday! I'd guess another 5 or 6 months, but I've not seen any news about this.

I heard that the founder of Sodashi loved it so much, she wanted them to keep it. It was not finished when I stayed, but Nathalie Delcos and team have done a great job with Jeff.
