I flew about 10 months ago and they were using the Varig lounge which is very basic.

Very small
Dreadful food
Wifi was free - no computer terminals for people without lappies though
Tiny bar (but completely free)
Some views, but not spectacular

IIRC LOT leaves from T4.

I do no know the status of the current lounge, but in past you
could use *A Swiss lounge. It had showers, hot food(depending on the time),
drinks, snacks.. the usual.. and free Wifi.
It overlooks the airport tarmac.

All the lounges are on the same level as check-in and in the back
before the Security check points.

Since LX moved to Terminal 1, I do not know the status of this lounge
in T4.

Can someone confirm?

It appears with the demise of RG there is no STAR lounge in T4. SQ also operates from T4 but uses a contract lounge, likely the same one that LO does. However, note that where contract lounges are used, it may not always be able to gain entry as a STARGold traveling in economy. (This was my experience with SAA at IAD last month.)

I will be in C on an award ticket so am assuming I will have entry to whatever lounge they operate. My interest is more around how comfortable it is as I plan to be at the airport a few hours before my flight.

Thanks

Seems that LH sends you to the KE lounge too.

There are worse fates than the KE lounge at JFK; it might sometimes even be a bit quieter than the LH C lounge. If you have the choice, depending on when the LOT flight departs, check out both and use the one that appeals more..they are close together.

If you have *G, the SEN lounge (upstairs after the reception desk) would be my choice...

Now LO OFFICIALLY uses LH Lounge at JFK

This is official:
- invitations to KE Lounge are not issued any longer, I was sent to the LH Lounge by the check-in agent (naturally I would go there anyway iso using this mediocre KE Lounge)
- SEN floor closes at 9.30pm, FTL/C-class floor downstairs is kept open until LO boarding time (10.30 pm departure), I was sent upstairs, but was warned will have to go downstairs at 9.30pm
- There is small LO logo below LH sign

PS. So lot.com data is incorrect

This is what the star alliance lounge finder said more or less.

Who's allowed in the downstairs person on a flight that only has Biz/Econ? Maybe that's a dumb question, sorry if it is. I'm on this flight in Jan but I'm a lowly Star Gold via Air Canada, so I have no M&M status to speak of.
