Aria Las Vegas
I'm looking to go to Vegas soon and would like your opinions regarding the Aria at the City Center in LV. If I am not mistaken its 100 percent non-smoking and there is no casino. Which one is better Vdara or Aria? As for the pool will it be open in the winter as it says hours vary by season but they do not say anything about it being closed during winter.
Do they offer complimentary car service around the area or transportation to and from the airport?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I think you've got your info on Vdara and Aria mixed up.
Vdara is non smoking hotel with no casino. It was designed to be a condo hotel and the suites have small kitchens.
Aria on the other hand is a 4004 room hotel that has both smoking and non smoking rooms and a casino.
They have airport limo service if you have one of the qualifying SkySuites.
Aria will have 1 outdoor pool open but it's generally pretty cold during the Winter.

Vdara wins hands down for rooms I think. But, it has no casino and limited dining options. It is only five minutes walk to Aria from Vdara and I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything not having five extra minutes to lose money.
Make sure to check that construction noise won't be a factor if you get a room at Vdara, that was a problematic aspect of our stay there but may be resolved now.

I stayed at the Vdara for a week in January.
I don't think I'll be going there again next January.
There was a lack of restaurants and they forgot to install minibars into the suites which were supposed to be condos.

If you can afford it, try the Wynn, Venetian, or Palazzo. Those are more 5 star than Aria/Vdara. I would put those 2 a step below the ones I mentioned.
I'd say Bellagio as well, but the hotel is getting a little old and crowded these days.

Thanks for the advice- we've stayed at Encore the last three trips and wanted to try something a little different.
