LANPASS lounge guests - requests and offers thread

How about LANPASS joins the other FF programmes on FT with a lounge guesting thread? Wouldn't that be awfully community spirited of us?

I am resting my wings for a few weeks but I will open the bidding with an invitation to guest in an FT member travelling on a LAN or OW flight at...

14 Dec (Evening) BOG - AA Admirals Club
4 Jan (Evening) LIM -Sumaq VIP lounge.

I have often wondered if you can bring a guest into the LIM lounge. It isn't truly a OW lounge and I have a feeling that you can't guest anyone in.

This thread is a good idea! I hope that some people get to meet

The Sumaq is 3rd party but it's listed on the OW lounge search so maybe you can guest someone in?

*Caveat: Being Latin America said "answer" my only be good at that particular hour on that particular day and with that specific person manning the entrance.

Given you are going to be in Denver and Chicago, can you guest me into your apartment in Santiago between Christmas and New Year please?

That is a fantastic idea, actually, and I would but my roommate is going to be there.

Yes, great idea!
But does J allow a guest?
Also, both need to have a LAN or partner flight following, I think.

Dunno, but Premium Silver allows a guest

Yes, actually quite cool that the invited guest doesn't have to be on the same flight or even the same PNR

A paid J fare does not allow a guest, only the top two elite tiers, Premium Silver and Comodoro, or the equivalent Emerald or Sapphire OW status from another airline.

Interestingly, on the AA website there's a discrepancy between what they allow their Gold members and what they allow Ruby members...¿?

I'm betting no guests allowed until LAN gets the space to put in their own lounge with AA. The lounge gets very crowded as it is.

Someone started a thread like this on the Cathay Pacific forum a month or so ago and it died. Maybe cultural. I was ready to guest whoever into the Cathay Pacific First Class Lounges in HKG and LAX, but nothing ever came of it.

LAN is considering opening their own lounge with AA in LIM? I didn't know that!

I have to say again that I don't know how they ever pulled off the feat of being voted "best lounge in the world"!!!! TWO years in a row! I mean ---- come on -- seriously? The day I saw that is the day I realized Skytrax rankings have ZERO credibility

I don't think this thread has legs either, but not from a cultural perspective, more so that it is most unlikely that ther FTers will be flying through these less popular airports. Whilst the BA thread probably has a good 2 or 3 people flying through LHR each day, I think I am the only member in BOG, and there are only 2 or 3 in LIM.

I will show up though when david_33 organises the LIM Christmas beers at Eddie the English teacher's bar on Calle Berlin
