Visa Requirements

I've been reading and it seems i'm getting conflicting information...I read that you don't need to go through a service to get a 10 year India Visa, but I'm not understanding how to do that. Can you do it all electronically, same as you would for the Etv? What is the best way to get a 10 year visa that doesn't cost a ton of money. Thank you.

Yes...I read through that thread...and I guess that is where my confusion is...that seems very simple, but not an option for a 10 year. So, I guess that leads me to my next question...unless you are going to India several times a year, just do the Etv given the simplicity and cost effectiveness? Guess I liked the idea of having a 10 year and not worrying about it again for awhile, but not the hassle of it.

You can only do evisa 2x/calendar year and not all nationalities are eligible (but many are).

Most significantly, the evisa is only for a 30-day stay and can't be extended, while the 10-year visa permits a six-month stay.

Yes. Whether you're 6 months or 60 years old.

e-Tourist Visa (eTV) fee is US$ 60/- per passenger excluding interchange charge for credit/debit cards. The fee must be paid at least 4 days before the expected date of travel filled by you otherwise application will not be processed.
