(I'll never understand how a clear hair conditioner could ever be expected to condition.)
Regrettably I'll have to agree with you - the scents are unique and interesting, but the actual product quality is poor. The lotion does indeed not moisturize, and the bath gel leaves the skin dry. I wish they'd improve the quality of the products. Otherwise, give us good-quality toiletries that actually perform (like L'Occitane, Aesop and Ren), plus a small bottle of the BM fragrance.

I am not sure about PH Zurich's BM scent. Someone mentioned a citrus smell, while I thought I detected lemongrass, but then I'm no expert. To me, it smells syrupy sweet but refreshing and brings to mind sodapop. I kinda like it, although it's my distant third choice after the original scent at Vendome and a close second rose scent at Istanbul.

Also, I don't know what the scent has to do with Zurich in general and the PH Zurich in particular - it reminds me more of a spa resort in SE Asia.

FWIW, the complimentary body lotion comes in two sizes at the PH Vendome. First time I've noticed it. The new (?) size is about half-again the size of the one we're used to. I'm not sure if this has been noted in the PH Vendome thread ...or maybe everyone but me already knows.

I believe they come in 50ml and 80ml bottle. The 80ml bottle is given in Suites, while the 50ml bottle is for regular rooms.

I hope they are not introducing smaller bottle than 50ml.

No, it's as you say. There just aren't volume markings on the containers, so I couldn't report them.

I was recently (a couple of days ago) in a jr. suite, which was originally set up with the slightly bigger bottles, but subsequently they replenished with the regular 50ml bottles. Is that normal, or is it one of the many cost cutting measures at the PH Vendome? For instance, replenished slippers from day 2 on are cheap white ones. Also, for the first time, no Diamond amenities - before, they used to always offer a bottle of red wine and a small fruit plate.

Not sure what recent is for you, but we stayed at the PH in the Jr. Suite in late February and was supplied with the 80ml bottles as well as a bottle of red wine and chocolates. There was not small fruit plate.

PH Paris-Vendôme, in its Sensorial Boutique, now also sells large (500ml?) bottles of its wonderful Blaise Mautin toiletries. I have not asked for the price, though...
