So, yeah, as I see it I don't see this getting honored.
Actually, I do see the rate I booked when I click the manage reservation in the email.

Nights:2
Estimated Taxes & Fees:¥ 59.28
Total:¥ 299.28
Perhaps because I went with a regular room instead of trying for a speciality suite?

So it seems to be an issue with displaying anything after a comma in the price in yen. If there's two commas (i.e. "actual" price over one million yen), then there's even stranger behavior.

Yes, and it appears they have pulled availability for the hotel (in Yen at least).

Actually this error applies to all Japanese hotels as it seems to confuse the comma and period.

Reminds me of the Travelocity glitch a few years ago. Was able to get that honored. But this one is slightly different because the correct price did show at some point.

Interesting, it seems as if this rate got "lost in translation" or something...

Is anyone booking this, it seems like a waste of time...

It will take a lot of guts to show up at the PHT on a $1 rate...

If I were the hotel I would insist that the customer paid the 0.28 yen (or whatever) in cash at time of check in. They can refuse everything except cash if they want and good luck paying a fraction of a yen. The yen decimal alone is enough to tell you the rate isn't valid.

Has anyone attempted a prepaid booking? Does the confirmation have a price disparity with the booking page?

Considering it, but envisioning a card dispute.

The prepaid screen shows that they charge a deposit and the rest is due there, so it won't work well...Sounds like you will enter a contract and then will have to deal with the mess...

Is that screen after entering CC info and clicking 'Book Now'? I see some semi-ambiguous 'Other fees due at hotel' pop-up, but nothing that states deposit now/remainder later.

No I think it was early on when you choose one of the nonrefundable buttons, on the right bottom of the screen or so...
