Amex Travel. Call and asked to confirm the reservation and the price. Instead of ~$30 they quoted me $3k+. Told them about the confirmation email I have. Talk to a supervisor who told me he would check with his supervisor today. He did and they aren't honoring it. Said I can cancel or pay the $3k.
For all of the people saying "don't call" I'd love to hear your plan. You're going to fly for what 10 hours? and then really believe that a privately owned hotel (with a hyatt flag) is going to give you their $300 room for $2 because Amex's website had a bug? The only way this would work is if Amex stood by it and made the hotel whole, which they aren't.

What did everyone else get from Amex as far as confirmation number? I got the following...
HY000002XXXX
HY000002XXXX
Even without the HY (which i presume stands for Hyatt), that confirmation number is 10 numbers. Hyatt confirmation numbers that I am used to are 8 numbers.
Also, is everybody only seeing the higher rate when they pull thier res up on the Hyatt side. On the Amex side (online), I'm still seeing the same 'Estimated Cost' when reviewing the trips in My Trips on Amex Travel. Presumably, if they didn't intend to honor, wouldn't Amex try to cancel/modify these?

This is why I say don't call. I don't think you will lose a dispute after the fact when you have a confirmation from amex. Of course when you call before they will do anything to get you out of the reservation.

I haven't called - but what is the game plan people? we can't just sit on this, i assume the plan can't be to go out to Chile check in/check out, and then dispute the cost later!
