Where do you recommend as good places to eat in Hong Kong
Being such a big city, of course no one truly knows what the best food joints are in Hong Kong.
still though... would appreciate some food restaurants/joints people recommend as being really good... also mention what from the menu was so good to order/eat

Found on a cursory search of the HK/Macau forum for "food":

That plus OpenRice should give you things to start with. Given a vague question that doesn't specify things like what kind of food, what price point you're looking for, where in HK you might find convenient, this is probably as good a starting point as any.

The question is far too vague. HK has thousands of great places to eat, which people do indeed know about, so more specificity is required.
I find Open Rice to be useful for information but I would take the ratings with a pinch of salt. They rejected some reviews I submitted which were negative, without challenging my positive ones, so I concluded that there was some bias in the vetting process. I think the Michelin guide, though far less comprehensive, is a better option in terms of objective recommendations.

On top of my head (being hungry at 1am 8000mi away from home):
Australia dairy hands down!
For a more 'proper' experience, I've never grown tired of The Steak House @ ICHK and Bo Innovation That being said there are some places that I have yet to explore, such as Amber and the 3* sushi place which my friends have very positive reviews about.
Afternoon tea @ The Pen, while touristy, is something worth doing too.
Dim Sum: Luk yu
