I registered (picking double points) on the 17th of December, pretty much as soon as I saw the post. I noticed today that stay from the 3rd to 4th of Jan posted to my account without the double points. Since hilton.com doesn't appear to email a confirmation when you register for a promotion - which is a pretty basic feature - it's hard to argue with them about this.

I also registered for the promo in late Dec, but did a stay this week and the double points didn't post. Tried to register for the promo again and it was if the first registration never happened. Still no confirmation email. <sigh>

Quick question: If you buy the 2x or 3x Hilton point rate with a hotel, that stacks with the double your points promo, right? I think that's how it works but I've never tried.

Edit: Think I've found my answer in a thread from a prior year. The 2x/3x only applies to the base points.

Just to clarify ... if I have a $100 stay using the "2x points rate", as a Gold HHonors member, in April under the "Double Your HHonors" promotion, I would earn this:

Brand: Hilton
Spend: $100
Base points: 1000
2x HHonors rate: 1000
'Double your HHonors' promotion: 1000
Points & Points earning style bonus: 500
Gold Elite status bonus: 250
Gold elite membership hotel benefit: 1000

TOTAL: 4750 points

Correct? Using points & points earning style and choosing the 1.000 bonus points instead of breakfast as my elite membership hotel benefit..

Change your password. My Hilton password has the following: )!;}_. Which one is the offending character, I have no idea. I changed my password to something very simple and was able get past this error message to successfully register for the promo. I later changed my password back to the complicated version. I have to do this for every promo.

Really enjoyed this promotion. Stayed 13 nights in Hiltons since Jan.

Is this usually a Jan - April thing? I've gotten used to the double points!

What is the promotion?

US Net Folio: $1,038.38 x 10 pts per $1 = 10,383 BASE Points

CALCULATION OF DOUBLE POINTS FOR THIS EXAMPLE:
Double Points is 1 X Average BASE. Therefore, 1 x 1,483 = 1,483
1,483 X 7 (total nights during your stay) = 10,381 BONUS Points

Do I have to change my MyWay™ Earnings Style Option in my HHonors account in order to receive Double Points for this promotion?
No. However, to maximize the number of points you can earn during the promotion, selecting HHonors Points & Points would be best.

When will the Bonus Points post to my HHonors account?

If I have two rooms at the same time with my family, do both of those rooms count toward my promotion bonus if I am paying for them both?
Yes. We can credit a maximum of 2 rooms.

Members will earn Bonus Points with the “Unlimited Bonus” promotion if they have incidental charges during a Reward Stay, provided such charges are deemed eligible folio charges.
