Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort {EGY}
Has anybody ever been to the new Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort in Egypt? People on TripAdvisor are all raving about it, so I thought I'd like to hear some additional voices of Hilton specialists as I will be there late December. (Will use this thread for my review in case of no answers - I couldn't find an existing thread for the property.)

I recently stayed at this property and can say the following:
- This property has a very high standard of maintenance, housekeeping and amenities and is squarely in-line with international Hilton standards.
- My room had a modern flat screen TV with HDMI ports that connected to my laptop.
- Local tourism is limited but frankly I had no particular desire to leave the resort anyway.
- They can apparently organise private airport transfers if you ring in advance.
- Diamond guests are treated very, very well. However these are unwritten benefits, there is no Exec Lounge etc. and HHonors guests all have yellow bracelets, which while distinctive, do not have any specific additional benefits over the blue ones.
- Food is excellent here (one exception: unless you like your meat served rare)
- Only warning is that there is no WiFi in the rooms and the lobby service is dead slow. Make sure you have an RJ14 port or adapter if you need online access in your room; and
- The only thing that stands out as a noticeable problem is the booze (spirits) served as all-inclusive. The wines and bottled beer are quite nice, but the spirits are well dodgy and I would avoid them in future. Tasted blindly, the tequila, 'brandy', rum and gin all taste the same. Also a strange ABV at 30%. They had, when I was there, an option to buy bottles of very decent, normal (but still local) swill for 150 Egyptian Pounds and you can apparently keep them behind the bar as you wish for your drinks.
I would happily return to this property but I would be sure to sort out the drinks next time at the onset.
Overall, a nice resort that tries very hard to keep every guest happy.

I've stayed at this property 4 or 5 times over the last 3 years and absolutely love it. Do be aware it's in the middle of nowhere - about 25 mins from the airport and the same from the nearest 'town'. It has everything you could need on the property itself as there's no nipping out to a nearby bar or shop.
Every time I've stayed as a Diamond I've booked a King Garden Room (cheapest) and have been bumped to a King One Bedroom Suite - and they are very nice. 2 full bathrooms, whirlpool bath, big veranda, good sized sitting room.
The layout of the resort means that there are a number of blocks spread out around the resort - some one level and some two levels - rather than a typical hotel layout.
Food offering is very good. There are also a couple of other restaurants on the property. You're usually allowed to eat at them once during your stay - but as a Diamond they waive that rule.
Other thoughts - 2 heated pools, 3 unheated pools, lots of space, nice bar, small souk, ATM, wifi 5mbps, beach is good with a basic beach bar, snorkelling incredible. Just be careful where you get in the sea as the reef is heavily protected.
And if you email the hotel, the reservations manager comes back very quickly.
Hope that helps.

And if points-they granted you the All Inclusive package?
Room only rates are very poor value given the upsell to AI is approx 15 USD.

Does anyone know whether guests who book using points also get the all inclusive plan?

I have a points booking for next year. My understanding is that the rate is room-only. All-inclusive can be obtained for a cash supplement for each person. I have HH Gold, so I would expect free breakfast if I don't bother with the all-inc option.

Hurghada is a long drive, 150+miles
Marsa airport around 15 miles
There are a number of local taxi companies specialising in transfers. You've also got uber.
Try https://marsaalam.com: it's an Marsa-based agency into selling tours and stuff, but there's lots of useful information,
or for Hurghada ABC taxis (Whatsapp is the best way to contact: +201002228294) I've used them a couple of times for Hurghada transsfers and they were fine.
Hurghada airport probably around 50 and a 3 hour drive
Marsa airport 15+ taxi, maybe 10 with Uber
