Direct flights from US to Berlin

Are there any direct flights from US to Berlin. Or any quick way to get there from Nashville or Atlanta? Any suggestions? Thanks.

UA does EWR-TXL also - but it's a narrow body if that matters to you

You may find it easier to travel via a European hub (seeing there are no direct flights from your part of the USA) - for example, from ATL via AMS with KLM or Delta.

Berlin is not a hub - Germany's main hubs are FRA and MUC

AB fly directly to TXL from JFK, ORD and MIA.

None of these is a daily service atm, although there are only a few gaps.

BNA-JFK-TXL or BNA-ORD-TXL are probably going to offer the shortest journey times.

It has seasonally been a 767 in the past.

You could also fly ATL-FRA nonstop and take the train to Berlin, I believe it's about 4 hours. Might give you some additional flexibility and the ICE train stops at FRA airport.

ATL/BNA to any of the AB North American gateways with TXL service is what I would do. That or take ATL-AMS-TXL. I do mostly ORD/JFK-TXL even if my Berlin-related trips involve a connecting flight to/from ORD/JFK.

The UA EWR-TXL service continues, but the MIA-TXL service on AB stops in May.

Thank you

Thank you for the responses. I saw the EWR-TXL flight but gosh, I don't want to have three seats across. Years ago, Delta might have had a direct ATL - Berlin flight. Which would be the comfy airline - BA, UA, or others?
Someone said awhile back that BA is just not a great choice but it's been about a year ago. Any home. It's a big birthday and anniversary trip and I was hoping to go with some style.

You can do ATL - almost any Euro hub - TXL. I'd probably prefer that myself as it means you probably won't fly on U.S. airline metal but that's my bias there. AMS,LHR and CDG would be the typical options with FRA thrown in sometimes. I myself have found that LH is remarkably uncompetitive for North America to TXL itineraries.

If absence of the three-across seating configuration in Y is a priority for you then you need a 767, 330 or 340

So forget BA and UA who only have very small number of TATL 767s.

Look at LH, SN, AF/KL/DE, IB and TAP who all operate 330s and 340s to their various European hubs.

AB operates 330s on its direct flights to TXL.

Train to Berlin

If I take the suggestion of flying into Frankfurt and then taking the train to Berlin, should I stay a few days and then get on the train. I've been to the airport but not too muchtime in Frankfurt. Is there a fast train to Berlin? Thanks.
