My daughter lives in Germany. I frequent the country and I don't want any problems if I happen to get pulled over or what ever may occur. I have also heard that if you ever apply for a visa it may come up.

Paid mine via Nat West. They charged £10 for doing it bringing the total up to £26.13 but at least it's done and i less stressed about the situation until the next time

I would also not recommend to ignore it.
They do not make it easy to pay up.
Got a speeding ticket once in CH, you could see from the payment options they were specialised in hawking foreigners
