Help! How short a layover is too short at Istanbul?
Hi there, new member here so not sure if I'm posting in the right section..
Anyway -- I've just recently booked a trip to Seoul, SK with Turkish Airlines, LGW - IST - ICN and back. Our layover in Istanbul en route TO Seoul is 1 hour 45 minutes, is this cutting it a bit fine? Then, on the way back, our layover is 1 hour 15 minutes, cutting it even finer?
Not sure what the norm is at IST. First time flying with TA and first time in IST.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

erinbyrne96 Welcome to the forum
Is LGW-IST-ICN on 1 ticket/PNR?
Did you buy it from the airline, a travel agent or on line travel agent?
If 1 ticket/PNR you have no problems. Any misconnect is the airlines problem
Airlines/airports have a minimum connection time. Some one else may be able to find that out.
If 2 tickets/PNRs you have problems. That time is unlikely to be enough

Also concerned about having to go through immigration (heard complaints about long wait times), not sure if I have to do this or not... I usually have adults with me to sort this out for me, but now I'm the adult!

Welcome to FlyerTalk… questions about one specific airport generally belong in the destination forums. Hopefully you'll get good feedback here in the dedicated Europe forum.
Good luck, and safe travels!

LGW-IST-ICN is all on 1 ticket, however I did book through online travel agent, GoToGate.

You will be fine as Mwenenzi notes. You will go through security and be back in the departures hall in short order.
