If scheds follow the proper timing - i don't think she will operate the inaugral 454 to SYD tonight - I think Papa Alpha will do it after returning from LHR as ETD12

The timings do work out nicely for a 11/12/454/455/19/20/11/12 pattern. But that doesn't take into account maintenance etc.

Yes, but they have made it sound like it's daily from now

The new daily A380 service, together with an upgrade to a B777-300ER from the current A340-600 for the airline’s other four weekly flights, will increase the total number of two-way seats on the route by 30 per cent to 9,568 seats per week.

Regardless, I just past her. She's sooo pretty!

Hi all,

Thanks so much for your involvement and excitement for our new A380. We are just as excited!

Just to clear up any confusion: Until July 25, our A380 will increase its service gradually, and will fly daily from that day onward.

Hope this helps!

Who has seen us arriving in Sydney?

*JP

It would be a brave airline that scheduled a brand new aircraft to go into service immediately upon receipt (the date of delivery can, and often does, change) and it would be very disruptive to substitute a completely different aircraft type into the planned roster, just because it actually arrived earlier than the scheduled in-service date; different flight-deck crews and cabin crews operate on the different aircraft types. They can't just slot in different aircraft at short notice, unless it is for a very good reason!

Etihad A380 A6-APA operating EY455 Sydney – Abu Dhabi (depart Sydney 1st June) diverted via Mumbai this morning due to a medical issue on board. On arrival at Abu Dhabi the aircraft operated training circuits as EY9112 – EY9119.

Hi Hamburglar,

Our A380 to JFK will start flying on the 1st of December 2015 on EY103.
EY101 will be ETIHAD service ON JET AIRWAYS CONFIGURED AIRCRAFT.

Hope this helps.

Thanks *HE

Honeymoon's over. She just took off a few minutes ago and began her working career operating 19 to LHR.
