Information on Load requests
The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.
NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.
For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:
Flight loads >7 days out are not very useful, as the airline could still sell many seats, unless availability of a specific fare bucket (e.g. Business Saver upgrade) is requested. If you wish to know the general flight load please don't post >7 days before departure.
When requesting a load please provide the following information:
- Date of flight (departure date)
- Flight Number
- Origin
- Destination
These four fields are mandatory in searching on ExpertFlyer (see screenshot below) and it isn't fair to except those who pay for their subscriptions to also have to go look up which cities a specific flight number is from and to (also some flight numbers are onward flights (5th freedom routes, e.g. CMB-MLE) and loads will differ significantly depending on which sector of the flight is checked.

can someone please check the loads for EK 653 on September 6th, and EK 201 on september 7th? I have flex tickets booked from maldives to JFK(as part of the fare error 3 months ago). I want to upgrade the flex tickets via miles but I see no D availability, when there there are many O seats available. If D availability does not open up online, can I still upgrade our flights with miles using miles out of my father's account?(im assigned as a travel coordinator in his skywards account)
and lastly, since I booked flex tickets, would we still have a higher chance of an op-up even though our flex tickets were only like $100?

You can upgrade once OLCI opens, but not sure about using someone else's account. once OLCI opens it's based on space available, perhaps by calling you'd be able to use his account, though there have been reports of EK not processing space-available upgrades until boarding in hopes of selling the seats.
The physical USD cost of the ticket is irrelevant to op-ups, it's ranked as follows:
1. All Plats (sub-ranked by fare type and fare bucket)
2. All Flex Plus (sub-ranked by status first and fare bucket next)
3. All Flex (sub-ranked by status first and fare bucket next)
4. All Saver (sub-ranked as per 3.)
5. All Special (sub-ranked as per 3.)
fare bucket = the single-letter fare bucket identifier, e.g. Y, W, M, T, etc. If it was a mistake fare and you're in Flex you're probably in a decent fare bucket, I don't think the USD or base fare cost ever ranks in, except maybe in a fare bucket tie.

A dummy booking just now shows only 3 economy seats being offered on EK28 (either as a single trip or with a return in a couple of weeks).
Married with EK384 there's none.

Is there something odd with EK systems tonight? Earlier I priced up a LGW-JNB return (out 20th bank 26th) in Y at £860 and it gave me a choice of flights/times.
3 hours later every flight ex London for 3 days is full in Y??? And every flight ex JNB on 26th.

Hi Guys,
Is there anyone who could please find out load on EK573 for tomorrow (18th August). I tried myself but couldn't, though I have the EF data.
Would really appreciate if someone can help!
Thanks
