I'm guessing that they'll finally head to MIA, a stretch of DTW or LAS if they really got bold. For now I'm guessing they'll just upgrade routes to 380s if they've got the gates to do it. Not seeing many new US destinations this year outside of MIA
I'm still betting on PHX. DEN is on my high-probability list as well. It would make sense for them to get in early and create some monopoly (among the GCC carriers) markets, especially in the smaller ones. Think they would have added PHL (Tim Clark had mentioned that in an interview) had QR not launched first.

Trying to guess where EK will deploy their (I believe 16) new A380s. Assuming there are no spare frames currently, and that 5 are spoken for (JFK, PER, KUL), for the remaining 11 I'd guess:

Europe:
DUS
MAD
GVA
MAN
LGW

US:
IAD (x2)
ORD (x2) - assuming they'll do what they did with Dallas to give themselves a competitive boost vs EY & QR. Hope the outcome is better though, I believe the A380 upgauge to DFW hasn't gotten off to a barn-storming start.

Asia:
HKG
BKK

Any thoughts?
There will be 68 by end of year 2015 (just 11 in 2015!?).

I agree with Europe but why GVA? Why not a second daily flight to GVA? DUB is doing very well, also GLA could be ready for an A380. VIE depends on bilaterals.

For US maybe BOS as well. But why not a second daily flight instead of a daily A380? Don't know why LAX, SFO, IAH... are just served once a day and not double daily to achieve more connections via DXB?

GRU? JNB? 2nd daily A380 to PEK and PVG? EK404/405 SIN-MEL? KIX? NRT or HND?

Just realized they're getting 2-class ones this year! So almost certain we'll see MNL (now that it's double-daily again) and maybe CGK, bilaterals and infrastructure permitting.

Just a few A340 left and I think they will be removed shortly from the fleet as it doesn't make sence to operate a fleet of 4 or less aircraft of one model:

A345 (4 in fleet; should be less in summer as I can see just 2 routes with A345)
KBL -> switch to A332?
SEZ -> switch to B777?

Maybe there are more routes (middle east destinations) with A345?

A343 (4 in fleet)
DKR (4 weekly) -> could be daily A332
ALG (5 weekly) -> could be daily A332
LUN-HRE -> switch to B777 or splitting with each daily A332?
SGN -> switch to B777?

I think ORD and SEA aren`t A380 ready.......I believe IAD could get the A380 this year.

ATL or MIA?? This a good question......:-)

Wishlist that is not about destinations.

LOUNGES :
> Power outlet near all seats (except dining area) in outstations.
> Less space in DXB F-lounge. (sometimes, it's too creepy in the middle of the afternoon)
> Less crowded DXB J-lounge. ... (take some space from F ? ).

METAL :
> Upgraded JCL seats on all 380s
> No more 340s.
> F suite on all 77W
> Cooled F suite beverage storage

CREW :
> Always check if pax has ordered SPML before asking "have you chosen your meal ?"

SKYWARDS :
> Bring back the Gold gift ! (last one probably trashed)
> Increase Gold threshold from 50K to 75K, and Silver from 25k to 40k.

Those petty requests only show my current level of satisfaction. ^

Your wish for power sockets near all seats is coming true - in the lounge renovations cycle that's being rolled out globally (many stations like BKK and LGW have already had this), those power sockets are now appearing.

Also the thresholds for Skywards are having an effective change by the amounts you state because of the reduced earning potential for the majority of fares.

All 77Ws already have suites - there are a couple of 773s and 772s about without them though

SEA doesn't have an A380 gate, and probably won't until the 2016 expansion of the S gates. Also, their customs hall is not a pleasant experience with the current 77W, never mind an A380.

ORD is building an A380 gate this year, and expects to have A380 service by 2016.
