Sandwich maker - what kind of sandwiches or other uses do you make ?

Just wondering what others make in their sandwich makers ?

My regulars are:
peanut butter and jelly on sourdough bread

Ham and cheddar cheese with guildens mustard on rye bread ,tomatoes + avacado added if I have any after toasting

I have tried using it to "fry" eggs which just made a big mess ,

and a few times made cookies

But I am sure I am missing something so what do you make ?

What do you define as a sandwich maker? I normally just use my George Foreman grill as a poor man's panini press.

Avocado, hummus and bacon in toasted pitta is her signature sandwich.I always figure there's some serious retail therapy being planned ...

The two favorites in our house are:

1. Roast beef, swiss cheese, Ortega chiles on sourdough

2. Pizza grilled cheese - ham, pepperoni, sauteed onions, provolone with a little pizza sauce on sourdough that has been brushed with butter and parmesan. Small bowl of warm pizza sauce for dipping.

Interesting combo. I would have thought the hummus would overpower any flavour in the avocado.

In a sandwich maker I usually just do ham and cheese. Sometimes I do Vegemite, egg and cheese.

Has anyone made a pizza dough enclosed sandwich ?

pizza dough on bottom , meat , cheese , peppers , sauce in the center

and pizza dough on the top

Just wondering if the center will get hot before the pizza dough gets too toasted / burned !
