"CHOUFFE is an unfiltered blond beer which is refermented both in the bottle and in barrels. It is pleasantly fruity, spiced with coriander and tinged with hops. "
LaChouffe is very nice though I'm a little surprised it's considered a strong pale rather than a witbier with the coriander.

A favorite strong pale Belgian ale is Lucifer, though both regular Duvel and La Chouffe are ranked higher on Beer Advocate.

The Porch is awesome. I spend all my evenings in Key West there, ignoring the stupid tourist traps.

Tried Habanero Sculpin today. Interesting. Guys at the bar were a little impressed I tolerated it, and drank it as quickly as I did. I wouldn't drink more than one in a sitting.

Shared a beach house recently with several other families. Everyone brought beer, but we did not finish all of it, and at the end of the rental period we had to clean out the refrigerators. I asked who wanted to split up the beer and was told "go ahead and take it." So I ended up with several Lagunitas varieties, a bunch of cans of Founders All Day IPA, a couple of varieties of Sixpoint, a bunch of Blue Moon (which I don't consider "craft", but my spouse seems to like), some New Belgium varieties, and maybe one or two other types. It was fortuitous timing, as my beer fridge was just about empty.

Glad she likes it. You should try it, too. Although, it's a bit past the season, it's a nice drink for a hot summer day.

Was introduced to Ommegang's Game of Thrones: Take the Black Stout this evening. Quite liked it. A little sour, a little bitter, notes of spice and dried fruit. Might go back for more before the keg is gone.

Pabst Blue Ribbon. Hard to argue with 8 cans for the price of 6. Besides what's more Canadian on Thanksgiving than having American beer.
