3. The ability to add partner frequent flyer numbers at the time of booking (requested: Jul 16, 08 | added: Oct 28, 08)
4. Fix the terrible kiosk design that David Pogue slammed (requested: Aug 1, 2008 | fixed: Oct 25, 08)
5. Add the ability to request SSRs from the Passenger info screen (added: Sep 10, 08)
6. Improved Pay with Miles for a more consistent experience (fixed: Sep 10, 08)
7. Corrected an issue in Profile in regards to the email settings. (fixed: Sep 10, 08)
8. MQM Gifting (delta.com/deltareservemqm) issue where second set is not allowed to post. Instead customer receives msg: You have used all of your eligible bonus MQMs for the selected credit card. (reported: Aug 05, 08 | fixed: Aug 14, 08)
9. the full booking screen should be just ONE click away from ANY other screen on delta.com (requested: Aug 1, 08 | added: Aug 11, 08)

Bugs:

1. Safari on the iPhone crashes when using the html version of homepage (reported: Jul 16, 08)
2. Safari on the iPhone crashes when using seat selection when clicking 'submit' on the seat selector (reported: Jul 16, 08)
3. Safari on the iPhone is missing scroll bars (prevents use) when using mobile version of select seats (reported: Jul 16, 08)
4. Search criteria is reset between searches when there is a preferred trip configured (reported: Jul 20, 08)
5. Layout breaks within applications when viewed at high resolutions (reported: Jul 20, 08)

12. When viewing some aircrafts, the seat map is showing incorrectly (reported: Oct 3, 08)

14. Change Itinerary button is available for itineraries that cannot be changed online (reported: Oct 5, 08)
15. Award Ticket calendar fails to return the calendar when requesting dates close to the 331 day limit (reported: Oct 24, 08)

so, i'm sure it would be preferred that i use the delta blog to get this information out, but honestly i'd rather provide the info now to a rather vocal group of frequent flyers. plus i struggle to write in the delta voice. i am a developer after all you know?

so yesterday as the news reported we launched some changes to the boarding passes printed when using online check-in. Instead of two copies on the same sheet of paper, there is now only one (the agents never take the second one hence removing it) along with weather info (my favorite part), events, etc. A nice plus that you won't hear about is that we resolved all printing issues we know of with boarding passes so they should print correctly in all supported browsers (that means safari users too).

last night we updated the revenue (booking) path for purchasing tickets. there were no new features added, just performance enhancements for the response time. we won't know until early next week how much of an improvement we managed, but it does respond much much faster now so give it a try.

safari on my iPhone is 'crashing' when I try to load the html version of the website. It appears to happen when i try and do something before the web page is fully loaded. It also happened when i hit 'submit' on the seat selector
page without changing anything.

The seat selector image does not have scroll bars on the iphone version of safari. There is no way to select seats on the mobile version of the website.

Its typical - they are fixing things that don't really require fixing (who cares if a second boarding pass prints? and i can't imagine it took much longer than 5 minutes to fix it) - I guess that increasing the supported browsers is a help.

But why oh why can't they fix the problems that we see on this forum every day???????

I hate to be a cynic, but I can't help but notice the new ads on the boarding passes. I would rather have to print out a second copy of a black & white barcode over having to print a full page of color banner ads! Could it be the new motivation really had very little to do with customer service?

If we could just figure out a way to put some targeted banner ads in the award search calendar, maybe that will get fixed too!

Occasional feedback such as the initial posting is helpful for confirming that our posts are being heard. That will also impress those lurkers who do not use Delta to consider flying with them.
