Now, he might have followed WFBF or used a RUC, perhaps.

Also, I was delayed leaving MCO originally and this 2nd leg was delayed yet again. But my position was still unchanged (was actually 3rd on the list at boarding time).
As a PM if he was using a RUC wouldn't your DM status even on an award ticket or V fare still put you ahead of him?

Looking good for this year from my first flight. I'm almost always upgraded at the window on one segment and at the gate for the others (or ahead of the gate but after the window) for this route: HSV > ATL > RDU and the return.

Edit: Fare class is L, generally I'm on HQK or X.

First time in 3 years I was upgraded at each window straight through outbound and return.

I know the changes for elite reduction haven't gone into effect yet but that's a noticeable difference for me.

I've got an HSV > MCO coming up as well that I'll report back on. Generally the two MCO portions are at the gate unless it's travel on a weekend off-season.

Nope. RUC/GUC/SWU beats all other upgrade levels.

1/1: DCA-ATL, V, cleared at window
1/1: ATL-DEN, V, cleared at window
1/5: DEN-MSP, X, IRROPS cleared the flight out, including half of FC, so we got upgraded before boarding, along with some non-elites the gate agents took pity on.
1.6: MSP-DCA, X, you can read about my Mysterious Upgrade

Will be upgraded to the front (probably for the last time) from DCA-MSP this morning as a lowly SM. #35 of 38 on the list to upgrade the MSP-LAS leg!

Goodbye, Delta.

1/7 DCA-JFK V fare upgraded 6 days out
1/7 JFK-LAX L fare upgraded about an hour before departure
1/11 LAX-MSP L fare not upgraded -- ended up 4th for 1 seat. I also volunteered for a bump so remained in the gate. Watched the people ahead of me drop off the UG list as they boarded, I guess. Bump didn't come through either, flight had originally been 15 oversold. It looks like the list was 42 long when the flight started boarding.
1/11 MSP-DCA L fare not upgraded. I was 1st on the list for 3 available seats but that changed while in the air LAX-MSP and there were no gate upgrades.
Actually on an L fare on Sunday afternoon/evening, I'm not surprised to have missed the upgrades.
