757 cabin refurbs reported done as of 12/22/17.
2Ku satellite WiFi upgrades completed 2/25/18. See post #897.
ViaSat IFC mods began July 2021 on 75D fleet. Completed April 2022 (excluding parked aircraft).
ViaSat IFC mods began Nov 2022 on 75H fleet. Completed April 2023.

Current configurations:
75S – C16W44Y108 (International/BOS/DCA/JFK-CA) flatbeds in C, WiFi, PTVs, winglets and ETOPS.
75D – F20W29Y150 AVOD, ISP, ViaSat WiFi, new lavs/seats/galleys/bins/PSUs/LED/*Sat TV on ex.-75X fleet* lighting and winglets.
75H – F20W29Y150 AVOD/Sat TV, ISP, ViaSat WiFi, new lavs/galleys/bins/PSUs/LED lighting, winglets and ETOPS.
75G – F20W41Y132 AVOD/Sat TV, ISP, WiFi, new lavs/seats/galleys/bins/PSUs/LED lighting, winglets and ETOPS.

I did update the 747 one today but forgot to update the date it was last edited, but just fixed that a minute ago.

What the rumors are saying is that 670-684 (excludes the retired 677) will get the mods in the fall, and that they'll get the ex-75X Y seats. Which would make it interesting for 684 as it already has the 75X Y-seats. Maybe that plan has changed and they will get the whole new cabin. I wouldn't hold my breath on 684 going into mods right now though, as the word is that they'll get it in the fall.

I'll bet that they keep the same amount of 757 modification spots during the summer - once N544US is out that will become open for 75Ds and they'll keep them rolling through the summer. With more 739s and 321s coming on I think they'll be fine on summer capacity.

If there is one plane of 670-684 they could do, its 684 since its a 75X. Pretty sure the mod lines will shut down once DL has the initial 757 line completed due to the Summer. Unsure of the A319/A320/738 mod lines. Obviously the A321/739 will be modded upon induction into the fleet.

It will be 3 configurations...standard 757 w/ 24F and overhead screens, 75D/H with 199 seats, and the 75S as they do JFK-LAX/SFO, LAX-Hawaii (sometimes), and other domestic routes too..

I'm also wondering what will happen with the mod lines...I imagine once all 757s are done they could be changed to work on the 319/320 fleet. 321s shouldn't really have anything to be done after factory delivery and the 739s are just getting the split scimitars in ATL after they come in.

While N684DA doesn't have any flights scheduled as of this writing, it is currently at MSP. There hasn't been a single aircraft modded at MSP which would make it more likely that it is in for maintenance rather than mods. Of course it could still ferry to another airport for mods.

There is a chance that 5652 N552NW has entered for 75D cabin mods last night or this morning. Folks working at the hangar at ATL will confirm this information for me this evening.

Also a bit off topic, but DL1983 was supposed to be the first A321 flight today, however N694DL (75D) took its place. The A321 is back on the schedule for tomorrow's DL1983.

Finally, best of luck to Mr. Richard Anderson on his retirement today, and to Mr. Ed Bastian -- who is taking over as CEO today.

Also, it seems that mods at SAT take longer than others. Look at N686DA (686) and N822DX (6822). They have been in for much longer than expected. Since N686DA was a standard DL 757 with overhead, maybe it is taking longer to get the IFE hooked up. The argument to that comment would be "The 75Ms have no IFE wiring at all and they have all left on time or ahead of schedule". So in this case, they are either backed up on mods due to numerous planes there simultaneously, lack of parts for the mods, or they are just taking their time with it. I doubt it is the last one.

The delay on N822DX could be that they did not receive the former 75A coach seats needed for the 75G yet, or the new FC seats from Zodiac Aerospace.

DL's current schedule works fine with 4 NRT-based 757s. I think they're not rushing this one cause they don't have any job for it.

Yeah, the 75Gs are an interesting case. One of the folks on a.net indicated that N822DX would exit some time in May since it was the last two get to SAT. I'd definitely be interested to know when each of these birds actually began mods.

Word on a.net is that N665DN flew MZJ-VQQ for charter mods, although it wasn't supposed to get those mods... still stored per planespotters.net and nothing on FA or FR24.

Will be interesting if the plan was changed and a couple of more birds are staying in service whether it be for charters or regular revenue service.
