Citi Prestige Priority Pass Select membership.
Yes, me too.
What is so strange is that the expiry date is Oct 2017. That means
somebody can cancel his/her prestige card just after first year and gets to
use the PP club for 3 years. I personally plan to keep my prestige card
as long as the terms remain.
Also, I have doubt that our PP card benefit of more guests is any different from the card with AMEX platinum. The card is the same, how can the benefit be different? Unless you have to pull out both PP card and prestige
card and the clerks at the doors are so informed about those complicated terms. I don't believe those overworked and poorly-informed
clerks will give a dam.

As far as guests go, the lounges simply transit to PP information on your visit, including how many guests you had. It is up to PP to bill people for their guests (if there is a charge).

As is the membership provided by American Express. Prestige refers to the number of free lounge visits bundled with the membership. Prestige = unlimited, but this has nothing to do with guests. Citi absorbs the fee for two guests per visit, American Express does not.

Select refers to the lounge network coverage. It excludes all United Clubs.
Prestige refers to the bundled number of annual visits. Prestige mean unlimited.
The Priority Pass memberships provided by both American Express Platinum and Citi Prestige are both Prestige -and- Select. The difference is in the charges for guests, but those are unrelated to the Priority Pass nomenclature. Remember that the lounge attendant will know nothing about the details of your membership, will not collect any guest fees, and will not know if any will be billed to your associated credit card account.

Citi told me that if I needed to use a priority pass lounge in the interim, the lounges would allow admittance with the prestige card alone. I expressed my doubt of this, having been a priority pass member in the past - how could all of those lounges be expected to honor a certain credit card? She assured me that priority pass guaranteed them this would be the case, since they delayed in delivery of the benefit.
Citi really botched this transition. The Priority pass cards should have arrived a week or 2 before 10/18. The booking of the 15% discount and companion pass is a total mess - citi agents nor concierge know how it works or is supposed to work. I was told it could be booked via the concierge 24/7...yet when I call there are never any "flight specialists" available to help me with my booking.

Called in to have a new Prestige card overnighted since I have upcoming travel and haven't received mine yet. They told me that the card itself *was* the priority pass and that I wouldn't be receiving a separate priority pass card .
I'm guessing I got a poorly trained rep who assumed that since you previously just swiped your Prestige card w/airport angel logo to access those partner lounges it must work the same with the new program...
Can anyone confirm whether or not they're receiving separate priority pass cards to gain lounge access? If so were these mailed out in the same mailing as the new Prestige cards or should I need to call in again to request them to mail it separately?

Inaccurate. The new card is used for Admirals Club access, but for other lounges you will need a Priority Pass card which will be sent separately by Priority Pass. Scroll back to post 466 and read forward.

You do need a separate PPS card to get in their lounges.. When I called them, they simply said before your PPS card arrives, simply use old Prestige which has the Airport Angel to access lounges (only when a lounge is in both PPS and Airport Angel).
If the lounge your want to use is in Airport Angel you could probably still use your old card to get in assuming your card number stays the same. If no, call them to see if they can overnight the PPS card or agree to reimburse your lounge fees.
Don't be surprised when a rep has no clue. Hang up and call again.

Priority Pass cards are sent by Collinson, not by Citi. I don't think they have the concept of overnight, it takes them a week to reply to an email.
