45 minute layover in ohare

I am flying from Philadelphia to Las Vegas on American Airlines and the flight I booked has a 45 minute layover in ohare. Is there any tips on how to get to the next flight quickly barring any delays on the first flight?

American uses four concourses at ORD. Have you looked to see what concourse your flights typically arrive at and depart from? The majority of gates are on the H/K concourse (which is Y shaped). Regional jets typically arrive at the G concourse.

I'm a fast walker and can typically get from gate to gate in 10-12 minutes, but if you're going from the end of one concourse to the end of another (other than H<-->K, which has shorter walking times) it could take you 20 minutes. My advice is to get a seat as close to the front of the plane as possible and hustle. Also, check the concourse map before you start walking (it's typically printed in the back on the American Way magazine, so you can look at it en route) so you know exactly how far you'll be walking.

H and K are interconnected around gates H5 and K4. That should make your connection a little easier as you don't have to go all the way into the terminal to go from one concourse to the other.

Here is a link to the terminal maps, if you need it.

Assuming you don't stop to browse or spend 20 minutes waiting for your order at Frontera, you'll be absolutely fine.
