On a serious note, so what is the final thought. No scissors, no shredder, just burn it. I did not realize it will be such a pain.

Trying to be cool like the Black AMEX card?

My brother worked as a Waiter in a very high end restaurant in Dallas, and told me that you can HEAR it when someone sets a Black AMEX card on the Bar, as it is made of Metal.

Wonder if they were going for something similar?

Just got my card in the mail, and thought it was a pretty cool looking/feeling cc.

I have to say, when I saw the title of this thread, I thought Chase had come out with a new card called "Shredder" (like the guy from TMNT)

Brilliant laugh, and the perfect antidote to inane bleatings about reclining seats, "accidentally" taking BA Club Europe seats and nicking a spoon off the plane. ^

I wonder if this is part of Chase's new rentention policy.
me: I would like to close this account.
Chase: well sure we will close the account, but good luck on getting rid of the card.

Saved $65 shredder!
Though, i have still not figured out how to destroy this card.

Okay, So I have a problem now, there was some fraudlent use on my sapphire prefered card so they issued me a new one and now i have to destroy the old one, i think i will try the drill press this time but i am now worried that it might be stainless steel in there and it will destroy some drill bits
