An hour ago at LAX the lady at the credit card kiosk said that the 2 free flights deal ends tonight, and that the applications needed to be fedexed to the bank tonight. The offer code at the bottom of the form was F2T3. I don't know whether using a code from a paper application online would work, but I kind of doubt it.

Im approved, wife is pending because she hasnt had enough credit cards
I applied for the personal and business cards yesterday. Got instantly approved for personal and after a 10 minute phone call, got approved for the business. My wife appliedfor the personal and was not instantly approved. She had to call and after 5 minutes got approved. She then applied for the business today after finding a link that was working. She was pending and called the reconsideration line. My wife has only had a few credit cards in the past few years- an AMEX for about 7 years, and a citi for 3 months. The rep was very concerned on why she didnt have more credit cards, and what she did for credit before her AMEX. My wife explained that an AMEX was all she needed, and before that she used cash or debit. My wifes credit score is 780-800... The rep recommended approval with a $5k credit line but said my wife would have to call back tomorrow and to talk with a specialist and gave us a different phone number. Hopefully she will get approved so we can get 2 companion passes for our 2 kids.

finally, I decided not to keep them so I got the two plus versions ($69 AF ones). Looking to churn it around the end of 2014

I did go backwards earlier today and found a pair that were working. Thank you very much.... I hit the personal got an immediate approval, then I hit the business and got a 'we'll tell you in 10-30 days". So I called and after a few minutes she said I was approved. Says it was the 50K offer. Again knock on wood....
Now lets see how bad a ding I get as I have been a little quick chasing new cards and I am very new to this. But I just did not want 100K to slide by and a "chance" at the companion pass as no one is really sure if this is the way to get one for sure. I didn't ask about the companion pass, mainly because I seem to change out my GF's fairly quick......

do you get the 50k bonus when the statement closes or when you cross the spending threshold? hope its the former. thanks
