Just got my new Citi Premier Miles card. Took about 2 weeks. No mention of the welcome offer in the documentation sent out, although I trust it is active. I did select the miles offer when applying.

Save a copy of t&c before they change https://www.citibank.com.hk/english/...dc-master.html . Citi is known to "forget" to credit

Thanks for the advise. Just printed it. The first line of the T&Cs says:

"Eligibility of Welcome Offer
The promotion period is valid from August 29, 2016 to October 31, 2016, both days inclusive (“Promotion Period”)."

What's up here with the dates? This promo has already been running since I applied 2 weeks ago. Does it mean that spending I've already made hasn't counted towards the welcome offer?

In regards to the payout it looks like they have given themselves 5 months to do this:

"Fulfillment of Welcome Offer
8.
Points: Will be credited into the relevant Eligible Card accounts within 5 months upon meeting the relevant spending condition."

Do you have any experience on how long it actually takes Percy?

They just updated the t&c as you were posting this?

I managed to wrangle a copy of the old 16 Aug t&c from Yahoo's cache http://106.10.137.112/search/srpcach...4uxPHgeNx2mw--

Thanks for reminder percysmith.

If supermarkets is already my 5x category, can I "double dip" (i.e., 17x) or is it maxed out at 12x? I haven't touched my HSBC card since promo began, will I get the 300RC if I just buy HKD2500 in Mannings coupons or do I need to do something else to trigger the promo? Cheers

You'll get the promo for any cumulative Mannings spend $1,000 or over, with each Mannings spend $500 or over (I didn't know about the $1K reqm til I called them up to check.

If you're 5x supermarket (that is home)

2,500 x 12% = 300RC
Basic and 5x on home = 72RC

372RC or 3,720AM

Another CCB credit card (Tastie Pass)

http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=19324
http://www.asia.ccb.com/hongkong/per...-logoff-banner

Not really interesting on its own, however 939 promo has so far been capped only by the number of cards you have so more CCB points-earning cards are good.

Is it correct that I can churn Citi card even if I continue to hold the Citi Prestige card?

For example, I will cancel my premiermiles card, and continue to hold the Prestige card. After 12 months, I can apply for another Citi card, and get the welcome offer on that card?

I know they specifically say if you apply for two cards at once (Prestige + other card) you can get welcome offer on both, but the wording for an existing Prestige cardholder is vague:

Welcome offer are only applicable to customers who currently do not hold and / or have not held any principal card of Citibank Credit Card and / or Citibank Private Label Card issued by Citibank and / or principal card of Diners Club Card issued by Diners Club International (HK) Limited (“Diners”) within the past 12 months from the date of issue of the Eligible Card ("New Customer"). (Except designated customers and applicants of Citi Prestige Card).

Can't. I was told to apply for Premiermiles first, and Prestige after that to make sure I enjoy Premiermiles welcome gift.

So if I want to get any more Citi benefits, aside from cancelling all my cards, I should probably hold onto the premiermiles card in the hope of receiving targeted spend offers?

You might hold Prestige too...tho I am in two minds myself whether to keep Prestige for the $6/mile and Aspire.

Yes sorry what I meant was that I would hold onto Prestige regardless. I wanted to cancel Premiermiles to churn, but if I can't get welcome offer next year, then I may as well hold onto it waiting for them to send me those "spend more than $xxxx and get bonus miles" offers.

HSBC Signature

Am I right in thinking that :

If I have registered for 6x overseas for any HSBC Card, then it also applies to this card?

In the absence of special promos, having registered for 6x overseas, this card works out at HK 2.78 per mile?

Thank you.
